Krestiki-Noliki
The interface of this game is in Russian only and will not display
correctly even with Russian language support installed. But it's not
all that difficult to figure out. The middle menu is options, there are
three items:
- Choose between 16×16 and 20×20 tiles. This is not the number of tiles
on the board, but the size of the tiles in pixels.
- Choose between four skins as listed below (you can also do this
by pressing Ctrl and a number between 1 and 4):
- Plitka (tiles): light blue noughts and yellow crosses on a pale
blue-grey background that faintly resembles ceramic tiles.
- Tetrad v Kletku (cross-section exercise book): as in the screenshot
above. This is the default.
- Shariki (little balls): same background as Tetrad v Kletku, but red
and blue balls.
- Pesok (sand): red noughts and blue crosses on a yellow background that
definitely resembles ceramic tiles.
- The third menu item has four radio button groups:
- Choose whether player I (X) should be played by the human (top choice)
or by the computer (bottom choice).
- Do the same for playe II (O). You can set both to human, or both to
computer. When I tried the latter, it ended in a draw.
- Not sure what this does.
- Choose the board size between 10×10 and 40×30.
Your choices are not saved in any way. Whenever you start the game
anew, it will revert to default.
