Counter
This game is also known as Breme Counter, since the author
uses the handle Breme. Counter is a fun program. It sports scalable graphics,
so you can resize the window however you want. You can configure all the
colors, background, border, board, and pieces. Computer and human player
have fixed colors, regardless of who starts first (by default, the computer
is black, the player white). There are seven difficulty settings, none of
them all too tough. An interface curiosity is that the first click only
marks the target square, you have to click once more to confirm.
Counter needs the Visual Basic 6 runtime libraries. If you have
Internet Explorer 5 or newer, they should already be on your system.
