Yet Another Tetris
At first glance, Yet Another Tetris seems quite aptly named. A
basic, solid Tetris, albeit with some extra configuration options.
The most eye catching feature is the "shadowing", which can
be turned off but when on shows where the piece will drop. The size
of the well ("Playground") can be chosen (Fieldmetrics in the
option menu), by default it is twelve.
But what really sets apart Yet Another Tetris from most other
Tetris clones are the figure scripts. Figure scripts define the
shape of the falling blocks. They can be imported through the
"Change Figures
" entry in the Game menu. You could,
for example, create a script that defines the blocks from
Pentix or Stakan.
In the version you can download here, 1.05, the standard figure
script is well documented. So go ahead and create your own block
shapes!
