Hexis 1.2
The name is misleading. There is nothing hexagonal about Hexis,
it is not related to Hextris at all. It
represents a concept that is rather popular on the Macintosh, but
only occasionally found on the PC: the blocks float in from all
sides, and only complete rings vanish. A speciality of Hexis is
that blocks continue to move into the direction pushed until
pushed into another.
Graphically, Hexis is even more lush than
Bricklayer, though it lacks
the music and is thus the smaller download. According to the readme,
it runs under 16 colors, but I have not tried this. A desktop
larger than 640×480 will improve its appearance.
