Columns for Windows
Columns is not, as often believed, an invention of Sega.
It was created by Jay Geertsen (not Geertson, as he is erroneously
credited in this Windows port), an HP employee, on the X Window
system. Nathan Meyers, another HP employee, ported it to DOS with
some unspecified enhancements, Chris Christensen to Macintosh. On
the latter version, this Windows port by John Rotenstein is based.
There is an earlier Windows Columns, Kolumz
by Robert Donner, which was however not really distributed at the
time.
