Mikan

A mikan is a sort of mandarine orange, smaller than a standard orange and easily peeled. It is extremely popular in Japan, more land is devoted to its production than for any other fruit.

Mikan, the game, is a classic vertically scrolling shoot 'em up where you shoot mikans. Unfortunately it supports neither mouse nor joystick, you have to navigate your space craft with the cursor keys. If your desktop is set to anything else than 256 colors, you get a warning at startup which you can safely ignore.

Another game by SunFlat is SFCave. It was hard to find for a while and was remade for DOS by Bas de Reuver as UrthWurm.
