WinSP
This was designed as a sort of DIY strip poker kit for Windows. The executable
contains the AI and the user interface. The opponents' images and messages are
stored in standard DLLs. It is thus possible to create opponents that talk in a
different language, though poker hands will always be announced in English.
You can download two files here. One contains the engine and a single opponent,
Cherry. Cherry is the only non-anime opponent I know of, she is based on Larry
Welz's Cherry Poptart. While the graphics are 256-color bitmaps, they stay
mostly within the 16-color palette, only some backgrounds use one of the extra
four reserved colors. She should display well on VGA.
The other file contains 22 anime opponents created by Mug"H"i based on KiSS
dolls by Ken Stone, an Australian and at the time one of the very few KiSS artists
outside Japan. Though these are 16-color graphics, they all require 32k minimum to
display correctly.
