Pac-Maine
Later, in the 90s, it was not uncommon to use computer games for
propaganda purposes, but Raymond T. Albert of the math/science
division at the University of Maine at Fort Kent may well have been
the first one to do so.
The object of his game, so we read, is to aspire for good grades
(represented by the A's our main character, Munchie, munches),
good health, good relationships and a good sense of honesty and
reliability (represented by the powerups) while avoiding such
menacing threats as:
- GOOFOFF bad study habits advocate.
- CHICKY applier of peer pressure.
- BOOZER drunken "waste case".
- JUNKY drug dealing "slimer".
Once you have cleared a level by getting all the A's you advance
via the staircases to the next below or above. There are no items that
will cause Goofoff, Chicky, Boozer, and Junky to flee.
