Howitzer 0.95
In 1993 there was hardly a commercial game that even supported SVGA,
but Randall Spangler's Howitzer ran in 800×600 (the largest resolution
with 256 colors on a 512kB card) by default. Unlike Michiel Ouwehand's
Tetris Pro, it did not actually require SVGA, it could run on a standard
256kB VGA card at 640×400 (which, though not a regular VGA mode, is the
highest resolution at 256 colors possible on such a card).
As far as I know, the version 0.95 that you can download here is the
last Randall Spangler ever released.
