Apples & Oranges
Nearly all Othello clones have, in one way or other, preserved the
appearance of a board game, most even the green board and black &
white stones. A few have been completely abstract, because the programmer
didn't want to mess around with graphics or because the platform had low
graphics capabilities. Charles A. Hardy instead gives his game a humoristic
graphic theme that does not emulate anything. Comparing apples and oranges
is a common phrase for comparing two things that are actually too different
for the comparison to make sense.
Another game by Charles A. Hardy is
Mine Field.
